Guild Information
Guild Etiquette: This guild is diversified group of people, so please be very considerate and refrain from using coarse language and discriminative remarks in guild and raid chat. Member represent Novus Ordo and its values; We expect that you will conduct yourself appropriately while in WoW. This includes but is not limited to trade channel and other open conversations. We take the reputation of this guild seriously and anyone damaging or misrepresenting this guild may loose their membership privileges. Addons: The addon requirements for Novus Ordo are quite modest:
Please note that Omen and Group Calendar tend to update on a fairly regular basis, it is up to the member to check and be sure that these are up to date for raiding. These three are required for all raids run by this guild without exception, if for some reason you cannot meet these requirements please speak with an officer. Guild Bank: Our Guild Bank is run (mostly) based on trust. If you have put something in the guild bank it is assumed you accept other guild members to use it. All money in the GB will only be accessed by the GM and will be disclosed in the forums. The money in the guild bank is most likely to be used for paying for respecs for guild raids, helping with building raid sets, reimbursing cost of mats for certain raid items and purchasing raid consumables. Any other use of the Guild Bank money will be brought up at the following guild meeting for discussion and/or acceptance.
Ranking in Novus Ordo: We currently have 6 ranks after the guild master: Officer, Veteran, Raid Leader, Raider, Member, and Initiate. Initiate This rank will be given to all new members that have just joined the guild. There is no guild bank access given to this ranking besides deposits and viewing purposes. Member Members are able to access the first three tabs in the guild bank. We also see potential for you to become a raider but would like to see your character in more raids or we would like to see improvement in some area. Please take any suggestions given to you with strong consideration. If you don't attend raids frequently then you will stay at this rank. Raider The raider rank signifies that this character has shown itself to be an asset to the progression of the guild. Raiders are players who attend raids and have proven yourself in one of the following ways but not limited to:
Raiders may be demoted for lack of raid attendance. Raid Leader The raid leader rank is a position given by officers to those raiders who have shown excellent attendance and contributed in a manner that significantly exceeds normal expectations for a raider. These characters have shown that they have a significant understanding of the raids and have shown their ability to be a leader rather than a follower. Veteran The veteran rank is awarded to those characters that have shown that they are the top of their class, these players have given significant time and experience to the guild, in more than the raids alone. This rank is expected to participate in some of the logistics relating to guild operations including but not limited to new applicants. Officer The officers of this guild are the founding members, unlike some other guilds the officers and Guild Master ranks are essentially combined. Guild management decisions are made as a council rather than a dictatorship. These members are responsible for setting up 25 man raids on a schedule that allows the most versatility in groups that all members are able to participate. If any guild relations problems occur the officers or guild master should be contacted. DKP Loot System:
DKP will be awarded for progression raids as follows: 10 DKP for attendance, If you join the raid after the designated start time you will not receive attendance DKP. 10 DKP for bosses not on farm status. A diminished amount will be given for bosses on farm status. 5 DKP for staying until the end of raid. Members will earn DKP for raids on farm status in the following way: (note t4 25 man raids are on farm status) 1 DKP for attendance, If you join the raid after the designated start time you will not receive attendance DKP. 2 DKP for kills. 1 DKP for staying until the end of raid. Raid leaders will use their discretion in awarding DKP to raid members for raid performance. Certain "fun" raids will not earn dkp such as trash runs. You maybe ask to be on standby. If you are on standby you will earn half the DKP the raid earns. Standby means that if we need you, you must stop what you are doing and join the raid. Do not ask to be on standby. 5 DKP point may be taken away for asking the question "When are invites going out?" or any similar construct that intimates the same meaning in any way. Minimum bids for items start at: 10 DKP for drops for main spec 20 DKP for Tier drops The minimum will be reduced by half if no one wants it for main spec. Patterns for BOE items will be distributed with the purpose of keeping the pattern in guild. During looting keep raid chat to a minimum. Whisper your bid to the Loot Master. The highest bid wins the item. If there is a tie, members will roll for the item. In the case where the loot master wants to bid on the item, another officer will receive the bids and announce the winner. Do not bid on items if it is not for your class and spec. For example Pally healers should not bid on cloth healing gear. If no one want the piece you may roll/bid on it. DKP may be earned outside of raids for contributing needed items to the guild bank. Officers will announce each week what items are needed and how much DKP will be awarded up to a maximum of 5 DKP. The material must be provided in raw form. For example if we need food buffs, then the food must be uncooked. This is to prevent individuals from withdrawing raid food from guild bank and turning it in at a later point for DKP. Items contributed must be turned into an Officer in order to be counted. DKP earned in this way is earned on a per member basis, meaning you can not earn DKP for each of your toons. Raiding: Raid Group Selection Raids in this guild can be broken into two main categories: Farm raids and Progression Raids. Farm Raids
Progression Raids
Raiding Novus Ordo's goal is to progress through t5 and higher content. This content requires a high degree of competency for all members of the raid. Attendence -- Raiders need to be on time for raids. The more time we spend organizing raids the less time we have to raid and practice the boss fights. Showing up late or not at all makes organizing raids more difficult and wastes other peoples time. If you are going to be late or can not go after you have signed up, update the calender to reflect this or post a message in the forums. Signing up on the calender makes organizing the raid quicker. Be ready 15 minutes before the raid starts. The raid leader will announce when invites are going out-- at this point you should be on your main ready for an invite. Please do not ask if you can go or when invites are going out, it slows the process of organizing groups. If you want to go, you should be on the calender. Preparedness -- Raiders are expected to know how to maximize their role based on spec, gearing, and buffs. Members of Novus Ordo contribute materials to the guild bank to make potions, food buffs, elixirs, etc-- use them for raiding and show up to the raid with enough. Repair your gear before the raid, if you are an engineer bring repair bots. Bring enough gold to repair twice. The raid leader may ask raiders to respec to fill a specific roll, in this case the guild will pay for the respec and back. The guild will not pay for raiders to respec to their primary spec-- it is your responsibility to show up with the proper spec. Boss Fights -- Raiders should knowing what to expect for boss fights. This will save a significant amount of discussion once we are at a boss and give us a greater chance of success. Expect to wipe and be prepared to pay for repairs. Given the proliferation of dailies in WoW it is not hard or time consuming to make enough money for repairs. Raid Efficiency -- T5 content requires every raid member to perform at their best. In the interest of moving quickly through trash and starting boss fights quickly, raiders should keep vent chat to a minimum, and instead use raid chat or a separate chat channel. During looting, if you have a suggestion please PM the loot master. Do not call out who you think should get the loot. Also, keep raid chat to a minimum during looting in order to make the looting process go faster and also prevent looting errors.
